Echelon really came out of a bit of a Goldilocks moment. When the founders were looking for a workspace for their own businesses, nothing felt quite right.
Everything they saw was either too small, too big, too generic, or just hard to get to. There wasn’t a space that reflected what modern businesses need today. So as a team the business owners, started asking what the “just right” space would look like.
Something that could work for solo entrepreneurs, small teams, growing startups, and even larger companies trying to bring people back into the office without forcing long downtown commutes. They wanted it to be flexible and scalable but still feel elevated. A place you’d feel confident bringing a client into, because you’ve worked hard to build your brand and your space should reflect that. When they couldn’t find anything that checked all those boxes, they decided to build it themselves.
